Jordan Cox (48 of 29) provided strong support as Invincibles chased down Northern Superchargers' 7-157 with three balls and three wickets to spare at The Oval on Thursday.

Appropriately, given the match was littered with dropped catches, victory came when Tom Curran was dropped by Faf du Plessis enabling Invincibles to scramble the winning runs. The elder Curran ended with 18 not out off seven balls.

Superchargers' innings was based on a thumping 79 from opener Adam Lyth , who hit eight sixes, including four in succession, off his 33 balls.

However, Sunil Narine kept the scoring rate under control, taking 3-11 off his 20 balls.

When Invincibles batted the loss of form by Jason Roy - worrying for him and the England selectors with the T20 World Cup in Australia looming - continued with a second ball duck. But the home team - coached by Moody - recovered from 3-21 to earn their second win in three matches.

The only Australian playing, Hilton Cartwright, made five for the Oval Invincibles.
