Sometime between 8am and 11am on Monday, while a woman was in her West Albury home, her handbag was stolen.
Later in the day, the woman’s credit card was used fraudulently at a number of shops in Albury, Wodonga and Lavington, before being cancelled by the bank.
Investigators have released a CCTV image of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
She is described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in her mid 20s, 175-185cm tall, with a thin build, brown hair and tattoos on her right arm and leg.
She is depicted wearing a white long-sleeved top and light coloured shorts.
