Chairman Tony Fazzolari said bands which performed at the three-day festival, which kicked off at Thompsons Beach Friday night with Taxiride, had been “rapt” with the venue.
“They said it was one of the best they had played at,” he said.
This year also featured a second stage for Saturday night’s entertainment and Mr Fazzolari said the designated hip-hop stage was well received.
“The crowd really mingled with the artists on the stage,” he said.
“They had some of the crowd up on the stage with them dancing. All the performers have done a great job.”
Other acts to take to the main stage Saturday night included rock band Cog, progressive rock band Mammal and original AC/DC singer Dave Evans.
Mr Fazzolari said the headline acts had not heard of Cobram before but once they got there “said it was phenomenal”.
Mr Fazzolari admitted this year’s crowd had been down on the numbers from 2007 but said those at performances had enjoyed themselves, with many coming from out of town, including Melbourne and Brisbane.
He said yesterday’s family day had been popular, with a sideshow alley and a Bob the Builder performance among the entertainment for the little ones.
