Bored during their school holidays, five Thurgoona children decided there were better ways to spend their time than playing video games.
So they spent Sunday afternoon washing cars in Bennett Street, charging just $1 per car.
The $44.15 they raised from relatives and residents in their street will go to the Carevan.
Isabelle Kelly, 7, Nathan and Mia Johannis, both 8, and Ben and Chloe Sampson, 8 and 4, agreed to donate all their earnings to the Carevan before kicking off the car wash.
“Because people there might be sick or ill and they don’t have enough money, and they need more money,” Ben said.
