AN elderly Wodonga woman has been robbed as she watched the football on TV while a barefoot bandit has stolen computers from one of the city’s high schools.

Police are now investigating a series of burglaries in recent days that have seen cash, electrical goods and laptops stolen.
One home was broken into for the second time in a matter of weeks and nearby to another burglary at Wodonga Senior Secondary College.
But police say forensic evidence has given them clear leads in all four cases.
Wodonga Detective Sen-Constable Andrew Leonard said an elderly woman in Highland Crescent was watching Friday night football when thieves broke into her house.
“Some time between 9pm and 11pm they have entered the house and taken her wallet,” he said.
“Clearly they have taken a risk with the woman at home.”
Another elderly victim lost a substantial amount of money when his coin jar disappeared last week.
On Saturday morning burglars are said to have climbed through a window to steal laptops and a camera from a home in Woodland Street.
It was the second time the home had been burgled in a fortnight.
“That is quite unusual,” Sen-Constable Leonard said.
“It is almost certainly the same people who possibly saw something in the first break-in and have bided their time and returned.”
Sen-Constable Leonard believes the thief who broke into the school in the same street was barefoot.
“We have plenty of evidence from that crime scene and a number of the others to suggest we will find who is responsible for these break-ins,” he said.
“The alarm was activated at the school about 5.40am on Sunday and two desktop computers stolen.
“The offenders had disappeared by the time security guards arrived on site.
“We also think that anyone out and about at that time may have seen someone without shoes acting suspiciously.”
