In a packed room at Club Mulwala, Fevola mingled for the first time with his new teammates.
A late afternoon downpour failed to dampen spirits, with Fevola receiving an overwhelming reception as he was welcomed on stage.
The two-time Coleman medallist, who wouldn’t rule out playing more than just home games, said he couldn’t wait to start at his new club.
“It rained as soon as we arrived which was a bit disappointing,” Fevola said. “Hopefully that’s not a bad sign.
“The people here are great and they’re a very proud club. I can’t wait to bring the family up at Easter.
“It’s exciting. I’m really looking forward to it.”
In a wide ranging interview
The self-confessed gambling addict also shot down rumours he was playing at Yarrawonga to pay off a debt with well-known bookmaker Matthew Tripp, a financial backer of the Pigeons.
