The future flexible learning space at Wodonga West Primary School, a federally funded $3 million Building the Education Revolution project, was targeted overnight on both Friday and Saturday.
Builders’ glue and silicone were spread across walls, windows and floors, and exterior wall panels were bent.
Site supervisor Matt Gilchrist, of Ultimate Design and Build, said the attacks were the most recent in a spate of similar incidents, which have also included windows being smashed and perimeter fences being knocked over.
Mr Gilchrist said the time lost in repairing the damage was inconvenient as the crew worked to complete the project ahead of the new school year.
“It’s mainly time that’s the biggest thing — time to fix it all up,” he said.
“The materials aren’t that expensive.
“It’s one: we’re working to a pretty tight deadline and two: you’re paying for the labour.”
