Norris blew his rivals away to win the beep test, equalling the camp record of 15.6, with the AFL’s national talent manager Kevin Sheehan saying his effort wouldn’t go unnoticed.
“He has equalled the best ever, he has equalled Jarryd McVeigh’s 15.6,” Sheehan told afl.com.au.
“What that does for Brayden, who’d had an injury-interrupted year, (is make recruiters say) ‘hey let’s go back and have a look at the vision of him playing’.
“Those that were uncertain (about Norris) will go back (and take a look) because there is something special there.”
Athletic key position prospect Reid also tested well, coming equal seventh in the beep test at 14.7 and also excelling in the 20m sprint, coming fourth in a time of 2.92 seconds.
He also shone in the standing vertical jump, coming equal ninth with a jump of 66cm.
