Coached by Tungamah star Rob Wren, the visitors turned it on from start to finish as they cruised to victory after a five-year absence from representative duties.
Pearce medallist and Picola United coach Adam Brunt was brilliant for his league while Waaia’s Brad Henderson and Tungamah trio Tim Cooper, Nick Doyle and Nayce Lowe caused havoc for Kyabram District in the midfield.
Despite a shaky start, coach Wren said he was “absolutely stoked” with his team’s strong performance.
“When they won the first tap out and moved it forward really well I thought we were in for a real challenge, but the way they all came together was just fantastic,” Wren said.
Abikhair medallist Jarrod Chapman found plenty of the footy for Kyabram.
Murchison coach Matthew McDonald, powerful forward Leigh Kellett and McNamara medallist Bradley Lowe also helped to keep Kyabram District in the game.
Undera’s Chapman was awarded the Football Victoria Development Medal for Kyabram District while Cooper was given the same honour for the victors.
