Sarah Tormey, 17, Andrew Brooker, 16, and Jarryd Tormey, 15, will all travel to the Gold Coast on Saturday to take part in the Australian Junior Table Tennis Championships at Runaway Beach.
The week-long event, starting on Sunday, will see 250 of Australia’s best young table tennis players fight it out for national glory in the world’s fastest bat sport.
Sarah will compete as part of the under-18s president team while Andrew will represent the state in the under-18s “B” team.
Jarryd, who has been earmarked as one of the state’s best table tennis players for his age, will compete in the under-15s “A” team.
The trio have spent the year travelling around the state to play in a number of tournaments to help earn selection for the event.
