They include Steve Block and Rhonda of 2AY; The Border Mail, especially Peter Merkesteyn, Howard Jones and Chloe Bugelly; Gloria of Prime TV; member for Albury Greg Aplin; Cr Patricia Gould and James Jenkins, council group manager for community and recreation; our guest speakers David Nicholson and Kath Strang, Eric Bocquet chairman for the evening and Ian Jeffery caretaker at Mirambeena.
A big thank you to everyone for a wonderful outcome.
Of course I cannot overlook the ones who delivered pamphlets and gave freely of their time to help get this club established once again — Jackson Payne, Janice Awburn, Willie Warburton, Marg Barrette, solicitor Richard Leyland and Leone and Dulcie, my assistant and treasurer.
The phone calls have been never-ending and the smiles on faces so broad with everyone looking forward to classes resuming once again on September 4.
I so look forward to having a wonderful last term with the previous members and meeting new ones who may like to join our club.
