NOT into the arts? Only into sport? Think again!
JAKE BOURKE
DREAM TEAM, by Jack McCallum
Regardless of whether you're a basketball fan, or not, this book is a must read and could almost be classed as fiction it's that unbelievable.
It's a behind-the-scenes look at the infamous USA basketball team from the 1992 Olympics. They lived in another world and you feel like you're there when you read it.
REMEMBER THE TITANS
Let's face it, who doesn't love a feel-good movie?
Probably the most popular sport-related film of all-time and for good reason.
Great way to sit back, relax and get inspired.
JACK BAKER
THIRTY THOUSAND
You might have to search around to find this surfing documentary but it's well worth the effort.
It follows two Sydney brothers as they drive around the African coast line in search of some of the most remote and untouched surfing breaks in the world.
This isn't about big waves or tricks (although both feature).
It's about the essence of surfing, travel and history.
A stunning soundtrack adds to the incredible footage.
DEADLY, UNNA? By Phillip Gwynne
Sport can hold communities together and break down barriers.
This teenage fiction book tells the story of the inter-racial friendship between Dumby Red and Gary "Blacky" Black in outback Australia.
Doesn't take any effort to get into this one and there's plenty of football to go with a great story.
MATT CRAM
BREATH, by Tim Winton
I can't surf, but after reading this book I feel like I know exactly what barrelling along a 12-footer feels like.
Brilliantly descriptive, with a pretty out-there plot that will keep you shocked.
FIFA13
Don't laugh. It's a video game, yes. But it's also pure art -- especially when I'm on my A-game. Great way to empty the mind.
