Inspector Tony Moodie, of Albury police, said the men aged, 20, 21 and 38 were removed during three separate incidents from 2.15am to 3.50am.
“These removals related mainly to their intoxication, and the fact that each man was standing around the main street wanting to pick fights with passers-by,” he said.
“Many others were spoken to about their language and generally loud behaviour.”
Inspector Moodie said police had the power to evict a person from a public place for up to six hours if they were drunk or likely to cause injury or damage.
“Some may find their early morning snack cut short, but such action is to ensure the safety of the majority who are minding their own business.”
