LOGIE winner Steve Peacocke's parents Gareth and Sylvia could not have been more happy to hear of their son's achievement on Sunday night.
At their Obley Road property yesterday, the couple said they had been inundated with calls from journalists around the country about their son.
Steve won his first Logie last year for Best New Male Talent and this year took out the Most Popular Male Talent category.
Mrs Peacocke was particularly proud of the speech her son gave.
"I was very glad to hear him acknowledge all the cast and crew, especially the crew, I thought that was lovely," she said.
"I also like how he always tries to give Dubbo a plug whenever he can, like he did last night."
"He has mentioned Sandy Beach as his favourite beach (after Home and Away's Palm Beach where he works) in an interview before."
At the Logies, presenter Adam Hills made a dig about not knowing who Mr Peacocke was and the actor responded without skipping a beat.
"Everyone in Dubbo knows who I am and there's 40,000 of them," he said to applause.
Mr Peacocke's parents said their son had attended the Logies after party and then had to get up early to meet media commitments.
"He was on Sunrise with Mel and David and Mornings after that," Mrs Peacocke said.
Steve's father Gareth said his son loved his work and explained he would eventually like to break into movies.
After his win last year, the actor was approached by three American agencies as well as an English agency.
"The agency that now represents him is also the same one that represents George Clooney," Mr Peacock said.
