Missing a host of star players for state commitments, the Bushies accounted for the reigning premier by 21 points.
A dominant cameo from Bryden Squire, who finished the game with five goals, set up the victory.
Squire was the chief goalkicker in the win, despite spending about 80 per cent of the game in the midfield.
Coach Darren Ogier said the win, without the likes of Michael Gibbons, Kieran Ellis and Kristian Cary, could prove valuable come finals time.
“Every win is one in the bank,” he said.
“We had 23 contributors over the four quarters.
“It was a fantastic effort.”
The Bushrangers led at every change and received a handful of valuable contributions on the day.
Over-aged players Matt Brett and Joseph Cousins gave the Bushies some focal points up forward during the match.
Brett finished with three goals.
“We could have really put the game to bed at quarter-time but didn’t,” Ogier said.
“But our intent continued for the rest of the game, which was pleasing.”
Dylan Wilson, Daniel Howe and Nicholas Mellington were also in the club’s better players on the day.
