PM Kevin Rudd, replete with trackydacks, channeleed a former bennelong resident as he strolled around the Sydney Harbourside with ALP Bennelong candidate Jason Li. Mr Rudd surrounded himself with iconic Australian imagery like the Harbour Bridge and a sign for Henry Lawson Drive, and was photographed with a baby. The only potential publicity miss-step was being photographed with bridesmaids, begging the question whether he'd be a bridesmaid come election day.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Tony Abbott reaffirmed the Coalition's asylum seeker policy, visited a hospital (also with a smile with the kiddies photo) for a funding announcement, and spoke at the LNP Convention.
