The German-themed party will this weekend be staged for the eighth year at the brewery and its popularity has prompted owner Ben Kraus to issue entry tickets, with a capacity roll-up of 500 expected on Saturday.
“We don’t want it to be too crowded, we want to make sure people can still have a good time,” Mr Kraus said.
“On Saturday it’s the busy, more hectic day and Sunday is more family friendly and quieter, so there will be no problem on Sunday to get in, but there probably won’t be tickets leftover on Saturday.”
Mr Kraus attributed the success of the occasion, which features a German band and commemorative Marzen brew, to following the original Bavarian version.
“Both myself and my partner have experience of how it runs in Munich and we’re trying to keep to what it’s like in Munich, but obviously we don’t have the scale of that,” he said.
