Wodonga Leading Sen-Constable Mick Globen has heard them all.
And no excuse is good enough for not wearing correct motorcycle gear when the consequences are so high.
“It’s about people valuing their own safety and valuing their own life,” Sen-Constable Globen said.
The highway patrol copper is not anti-bike, he has been riding motorcycles himself for 18 years.
“I’m a speed freak, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying speed, but go where it’s legal. If you want to push it, go to a track,” he said.
“Otherwise you’ll end up hurting yourself, someone else, widowing your wife or husband and leaving your kids with no parent.”
