While Fevola said the 80-match Blues’ player could play almost every position on the ground, the Pigeons spearhead expected him to be most dangerous inside 50 metres.
Setanta and his brother, Aisake, signed two-year deals with last year’s grand finalists at the weekend, after being hotly pursed by rival club North Albury.
“It sounds like Albury are getting serious and trying to knock the Pigeons off,” Fevola said yesterday.
“Setanta is a mad Irishman and he will bring a lot of colour to the league.
“I expect he will play mainly in attack and give them a real physical presence.
“He is obviously fresh out of the AFL and Albury has got some good kids and he has been working with the kids at GWS and will hold them in good stead.
“I hope he doesn’t play up the other end.
“But you wouldn’t play him on me because I would kick at least 10 on him.
“But I dare say they will probably play him on me but he could kick a lot of goals as a key forward,” he said.
Fevola also rated Aisake, who spent several years on Carlton’s rookie list without playing an AFL game.
“I would have thought Aisake would play in the ruck but you can play him almost anywhere,” he said.
“He is lightning quick and is a big unit.
“He is obviously pretty athletic and has got a great engine.
“He might even give Michael Tuck (Steve McKee) a run for his money.
“A lot of people don’t realise but they are both almost 200 centimetres and ultra fit.”
Fevola said the brothers had contrasting personalities.
“Setanta is a great fella and is surprisingly quiet off the field, while Aisake is a lot more outgoing,” he said.
The fierce rivals will clash in an opening round blockbuster at the Albury Sportsground on April 5.
“Aisake might have to travel with me to Albury ... because the Irish don’t get too many things right,” Fevola said.
“If you tell him it’s one straight road to Albury he will try and turn off somewhere.”
