A FATHER will face charges over a Hume Freeway car crash that left his baby daughter with life-threatening injuries.

The girl was flown to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital after the car in which she was travelling veered down an embankment and crashed into a tree just before 1am yesterday.
Following the crash near Euroa, the girl’s father, 34, was taken by investigators to Benalla police station.
He was interviewed and released after being told he would be charged on summons with dangerous driving causing serious injury and negligent driving causing serious injury.
The father and daughter, who had been travelling south, had recently moved from Queensland to St Kilda in Melbourne.
The girl remains in hospital in a critical condition, while the dad suffered minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Wodonga police are investigating a crash on the Lincoln Causeway early yesterday.
A green Daewoo travelling north collided with a bridge near Diamond Park about 3.20am.
Sgt Andrew Wilson said the exact circumstances are being determined with two people believed to be travelling in the car.
