The proposed facility will be Cleanaway’s largest operation in Australia and utilise the world’s best practice enclosed GORE technology and is expected to reduce regional landfill from organic waste by half.
A regional planning panel refused to approve the $8.5 million facility in late August.
Organic materials collected from Albury, Wodonga, Indigo and Corowa council areas will be dumped at the site.
More to come.
