The rodeo has been deemed a “huge success”, with a wildly enthusiastic audience, many of whom will attend again.
However, I note with sarcastic humour, that the concerns of “possible mistreatment” of animals at rodeos has been laid to rest, and we are told to look at them at rodeos, to see how well and happy these animals are.
On studying the photograph which accompanied this item, I did not think that the little calf looked particularly happy, and I suspect that the horses, with tight straps attached to their genitals, and which tighten each time they buck, would look particularly happy either.
Please, stop and think of the suffering which events such as these cause, and of the physical pain and anxiety such events cause.
Animals should not be maltreated, simply for the amusement of bored humans.
