The trio were pulled over for a routine check about 1.30am yesterday in Chomley Avenue, driving a car with Queensland number plates.
Police allege they searched the car and found 21 grams of methylamphetamine, also known as ice, and the counterfeit cash.
The three men appeared in Benalla Magistrates Court yesterday charged with offences including possession and trafficking, dealing with the proceeds of crime, possessing counterfeit money and possessing a dangerous article.
Shane Buckley, 26, of Camberwell, was remanded in custody.
His co-accused, Andrew McGregor, 27, of Balwyn North and Moukhaiber Hatim, 25, of Meadow Heights, were granted bail.
All three men were ordered to reappear before Wangaratta Magistrates Court on February 26.
Wangaratta police Sgt Garry Barton said the incident was not related to any particular police investigation, but all alleged drug offences were of serious concern.
“We take drugs in our community very seriously, and anyone with any information regarding this or any other drug matters should contact Crime Stoppers,” he said.
