Border well represented at National All Schools Triathlon championships

BORDER triathletes Emily Crispin, Ella MacLean, Patrick North and Matilda Terry have all cracked a spot to represent Victoria at the National All Schools Triathlon championships at Bendigo in April.

All four won selection after eye-catching performances in a series of three qualifying races held in Melbourne during the past three months.

The top-six placegetters in each age division gained selection.

In an outstanding performance, Crispin won all three of her races in the under-13 to 14 age group.

MacLean also gained selection in the same age group after finishing runner-up, sixth and third in the three races held at Brighton, Mordialloc and Elwood.

North will compete in the under-13 to 14 boys division after winning at Mordialloc and finishing third in his other two races.

Terry made the under-17 to 19 girls division with two minor placings and missing the third triathlon held at Elwood.

The championships are on April 8 to 11.
