With the Ovens and Murray Football Netball League’s opening round only five days away, players gathered for the season launch at the SS&A Albury last night.
The league unveiled its new slogan “still the best game in town” which featured league legends Martin Cross and Paula Cary and highlighted the strength of the league over the years.
“It’s sure to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up,” O and M general manager Aaron McGlynn said.
Meanwhile, McGlynn revealed Craig Ednie, Ken Stevenson and Kerry Bahr would be Brendan Fevola’s assistants for interleague this year.
Yarrawonga champion Ednie had always been expected to help his Pigeons’ teammate out against the Hampden league on May 24.
Stevenson takes on the role after stepping down as coach of Wodonga Raiders last year.
