Mr Berg just seems to miss the point and continues to carry on.
First of all, if you state facts, be accurate.
Chiltern’s 18th rodeo was held on March 9, not March 15 — wrong date Sumner.
Flank straps and spurs are used in accordance with the Environment and Primary Industries Department and the Australian Professional Rodeo Association code of practice.
As far as horse racing goes, it is not steeple, but jumps racing.
Rodeos do not use cattle probes, they are called prodders (banned from rodeos). Wrong again.
The primary industries department issues permits to conduct a rodeo. Can’t you understand this?
The McPhee Rodeo Company has been breeding rodeo stock for 30 years.
We received so many comments at our rodeo the bucking stock looked good it was overwhelming.
I encourage you to visit a rodeo and come behind the chutes to see how it really is. Even better, I could arrange for you to jump up on a rodeo head of stock without a flank or so-called spurs, and see you go.
Both Chiltern and Beechworth are looking forward to our rodeos being bigger and better next year.
