DONATIONS have been pouring in for injured Albury footballer James McQuillan after a trust fund was set up for him.
The ANZ bank announced on Saturday it would tip in $5000 to help with McQuillan’s recovery, with another big donation from a business that did not wish to be named.
“Conor Noonan (ANZ regional executive) got on the front foot and approached us,” Albury president Gavan Schultz said.
“The support has been enormous. We have been overwhelmed by the contact that has been made with the footy club.
“It’s a great boost for James and his family.”
Albury’s website should be up today after crashing due to an overwhelming amount of traffic.
