FRAZER Droop and Zach Murray will play pivotal roles for the Commonwealth club in the final of metropolitan matchplay.
The teenage pair, who played in the club’s champion colts team this year, have stepped into the elite open grade with equal effect this season.
Yarrawonga’s Droop has been undefeated, only once being forced to play to the 17th hole in his six wins.
In one clash he finished at the 12th and in recent wins hasn’t gone past the 15th hole.
In a replay of the final round, Commonwealth will play Metropolitan in the decider at Kingston Heath in a little under two weeks.
On Sunday Droop defeated Matt Roberson 4 & 2, while Murray won his rubber at the 19th in their team’s 4-3 win.
