Wodonga’s David King and Ashley Bates combined with North Albury’s Norm Honey to claim the classic’s $3000 first prize.
Ninety teams took part, with games at the Commercial club, North Albury, Lavington Panthers and Wodonga.
King played lead, Honey second in the middle and Bates skipped with all three showing good form.
There were four unbeaten teams after seven games of 12 ends on Saturday and Sunday.
They were separated by shots up and Bates’ team finished with a margin of plus 93.
His team was in contention for the major prizemoney, but establishing an 18-0 lead early in the last game made sure it would happen.
The runners-up were the Moonee Ponds combination of Matt Perkins, Paul Dorgan and skip Gary Bell with plus 88 shots.
Howlong’s Jeff Brundell, Phil Slater and John Edwards finished in third place with plus 58.
A Commercial Club team of Elmore Lieschke, Pat Parnell and Jim Lee were in fourth place.
The presentations were made at the Commercial Club on Sunday afternoon.
More than $12,000 was paid out, with money down to 40th position.
