4.40PM: A woman has died and a man is being flown to Melbourne with serious chest and leg injuries after their car hit a tree stump on the Yarrawonga Road at 3.25pm.

The car was travelling north about 15 kilometres from Wangaratta when it veered to the right hand side and left the road.
The woman, believed to be in her mid-60s, died on impact.
The man, believed to be about the same age, is being treated at the scene.
A helicopter is preparing to fly him to the Alfred Hospital.
