FOR Jeff Smith, his love for Holdens goes back to when he was just six years old.

And he says his passion is as fierce as a football fan.

“It’s a cultural thing as you grow up,” Mr Smith said.

“I feel a connection, because that’s the brand I chose.

“I always want them to win.”

Mr Smith showed off his all black 2011 Holden Special Vehicle at Albury’s QEII Square on Saturday with another 13 Holden owners.

Members of the HSV Owners Clubs of Victoria and ACT met in the city as a halfway mark, also holding a motorkhana at Wodonga’s Logic Centre yesterday.

Mr Smith, who travelled up from Gisborne, said the weekend was just as much about the cars as it was spending time with Holden lovers.

“We just come here to have a good time and have a laugh with friends,” he said.

It is the second year the show has run in Albury, with organisers hoping to make it a bi-monthly event.
