THE North East Lady Bushrangers will be out to mark the Big V women’s round with a strong showing against Mornington Breakers at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre tomorrow night.
The Breakers ran out 21-point victors against a Bushrangers side missing leading scorer Rachel Jeffery and floor general Stacey Browne earlier in the season and a much tighter clash is expected on this occasion.
Poor shooting from the field has cost the Lady Bushrangers in recent games and Jeffery and Browne will need to be at their best with support from Alana Sutton.
Improved play from forwards Holly Bawden and Jane Scheetz can only improve their chances of a win.
The North East Bushrangers will be looking to capitalise on a Breakers side that has had a tough month.
An under-strength Bushrangers side put in a gutsy performance in Mornington while missing key players Dylan Webb and Jon Lindhe and will fancy their chances of causing an upset
The Bushrangers will welcome back Australian under-17 representative Trent McMullen this weekend.
