ALBURY United’s Cade Webb has turned into Mr Versatile.
The Green Machine 400-gamer has been used as a super-sub in recent weeks, but with the absence of keeper Marty Chambers donned the gloves for the clash with Hotspurs at the weekend.
One wag, admittedly in the opposition camp, said he thought Webby talked a lot when he was a field player but even that went up a notch when he took on the role as custodian.
But a one-on-one save against Spurs’ young gun Sam Thorman midway through the first half quickly silenced that argument.
In the end Spurs had the last laugh — a stunning free kick from Ryan Giles with the last kick of the game, giving the home team its first win over United at Aloysius Park in most of the coaching staff’s living memory.
