But Ballinger concedes they don’t come any bigger than south and east conference heavyweights Bendigo Lady Braves and Dandenong Lady Rangers over the next two days.
“It doesn’t get much tougher,” Ballinger said yesterday.
“We have played both teams and were competitive in patches, so it’s about applying the learnings about why we were competitive and applying them for longer periods of time.
“We are having lapses which are really hurting us.”
The Lady Bandits, who have lost their last 16 matches, take on ladder leader Bendigo at Bendigo tonight and will look to Sophie Kleeman and Emilee Harmon to continue their improved recent form.
They then meet Dandenong at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre tomorrow night.
The Lady Rangers are no doubt hungry to atone for last year’s preliminary final loss.
Former Lady Bandits guard Amelia Todhunter will be one of the key players in their bid to make amends.
“Both those teams are big and quick as well,” Ballinger said.
“We have five games left and want to finish the season as strongly as we can.”
