Tallis was allegedly involved in an incident with a bar staffer at Brisbane’s Regatta Hotel early on Monday.
But police said yesterday a complaint against Tallis was withdrawn.
Former Brisbane captain Tallis, 33, was out having social drinks with his wife Christine and other ex-players when the alleged incident occurred.
He said while making no admissions or accepting any blame, he later apologised to the hotel manager and the male staff member.
Police also have decided not to pursue an assault complaint against dumped Broncos halfback Brett Seymour.
It was alleged Seymour head-butted a woman on the dance floor of the Regatta Hotel at Toowong in Brisbane’s inner-west on July 31.
But one of two female complainants against Seymour withdrew her complaint yesterday while there was insufficient evidence to support taking action over the other woman’s allegations.
The Broncos last week terminated the contracts of 21-year-old Seymour and utility forward Neville Costigan because they had been involved in a spate of off-field incidents.
