The man, 52, is accused of assaulting the teenagers at the TAFE NSW Riverina Institute Wagga campus on separate occasions in March and April.
One girl was 15 and two girls were 16 at the time of the alleged incidents.
The man had worked in the agricultural sector of the TAFE and also works in private industry.
He presented to Holbrook police station on Tuesday and was arrested and charged with six counts of indecent assault and six counts of common assault.
The education provider is co-operating with police as officers investigate the matter, and the part-time employee has been stood down from teaching.
A Riverina Institute spokeswoman said the organisation had a policy of removing teachers from student contact following serious charges.
“Student wellbeing is a priority, and any staff member charged with a serious criminal offence, especially one involving violence, would be removed from contact with students until the matter was dealt with through the legal system,” she said.
“As child assault charges laid against a Riverina TAFE teacher are now before the court, it is inappropriate for the institute to comment on the matter.”
A TAFE NSW spokesman said the man had been placed on a do-not-employ list.
“Student wellbeing is a high priority for TAFE NSW and Riverina Institute,” he said.
“The individual charged by the police was a part-time teacher at Riverina Institute.”
The charged man has been placed on the not-to-be-employed list while the matter is before the court.
The incidents were investigated by the Child Abuse Squad.
The man was bailed to Wagga Court on September 10.
