SETANTA O’hAilpin became just the third Albury player in the club’s celebrated 118-year history to boot a century of goals in a season when he slotted seven in the Tigers’ 188-point mauling of Wangaratta on Saturday.

The former Carlton and Greater Western Sydney player wasted little time ticking off the milestone, booting four goals in the first term to get to 100.
He was swamped by teammates and gave a young fan a hug after kicking truly from a set shot.
O’hAilpin joined league legend Doug Strang (1938 and 1939) and Daryl Bakes (1982) on the list of Tigers to boot a ton.
“It’s a great achievement for him,” Albury co-coach Daniel Maher said yesterday.
“I think we’re all glad it’s out of the way.
“It’s been well-publicised.
“But as I said, it’s a terrific effort and it’s been a while since somebody has done it for us.
“We didn’t recruit him to kick 100 goals, we recruited him to play a role, and he is doing that.”
The Tigers were ruthless at Norm Minns Oval — they kept their foot on the pedal for the entire game.
Co-coach Chris Hyde was the dominant player on the ground and booted five goals in a dynamic display from the midfield.
It was hard to find an Albury player who didn’t contribute on the day.
Aisake O’hAilpin was the dominant big man on the ground, with Joel Mackie, John Mitchell, Lonnie Hampton and Brayden O’Hara just a handful of others to come under notice.
Albury had a whopping 10 multiple goalkickers.
The backline also did its job.
The Tigers captured the minor premiership with Saturday’s win and have this weekend off as they prepare to take on Lavington or Yarrawonga in next month’s second semi-final.
Albury is still to regain Dean Polo (suspension), Justin Carey and ruckman Luke Wells from injury.
“We’re under no illusions it will be a big test against whoever we play,” Maher said.
