He’s a Morris medallist, multiple best and fairest winner and one of just four three-time premiership players at Yarrawonga.
Today, Leslie joins another revered group.
He’ll become just the fourth player in Yarrawonga’s decorated history to play 200 senior games.
Does he feel lucky? Sure.
But champions make their own luck.
And, with the aforementioned list of achievements, there is no doubt Leslie is a champion.
“It’s a bit of a surprise with the history the club has that only three others have got to 200,” Leslie, 28, said ahead of today’s qualifying final clash with Lavington.
“You look at a club like Rovers that has a stack of them.
“It does make it pretty special, especially because the other blokes to do it were local blokes as well.
“It’s the same with the flags.
“You look at before 2006 and we’d only ever won two and I’ve been lucky enough to play in three.
“So when you look at that, it’s pretty amazing.
“I took 2006 for granted, being so young, but you soon realise how hard they are to win when you come up against sides like Albury and Lavi.
If today’s much-anticipated clash with the Panthers wasn’t big enough already, Leslie’s milestone will only add to the occasion.
But it won’t trouble Yarrawonga’s ball magnet.
He’s played in more big games than just about anyone else in the league since making his debut at just 16 in 2002.
But are those blockbusters getting tougher?
“The standard certainly isn’t getting any worse,” Leslie said.
“Maybe as you get older, you notice it more, and you start to pull up that little bit sorer.
“At this time of the year, it’s all about touching the footy and not smashing yourself on the track.”
Those words sound like something straight out of a coaching handbook.
Is that something that interests him?
“It does, but we’ll wait and see,” Leslie said.
“If you asked me two months ago, I might have said I was retiring because I was pulling up that sore but it’s actually got better as the year has gone on.”
Like anyone else, that might have something to do with the smells of finals.
And for now, that’s all the reigning Morris medallist is worried about.
“We’ll have to improve on last time,” Leslie said.
“It was good to have the celebration for the 200 last week and get it out of the way.
“All I’m worried about is Lavi.”
