The pair, who were partners in a gym in Queensland in 2010, will run Mecca Fitness Coaching and Conditioning at 564 Swift Street.
“It’s a fitness gym,” Richards said.
“We are looking at fitness classes with cross training and boxing fitness.
“We want to involve sporting teams of all varieties and work closely with them in regards to what they want to achieve.”
Richards, a Lavington premiership player and soccer identity, has spent the past two years running a gym in Netherlands with Dutch Olympic weightlifting coach Pierre Vergroost.
Brauer also played for the Panthers and co-coached Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock this season.
They will run monthly camps and will use the knowledge of ex-Albury boxer Caine Melbourne.
“I think we complement each other well,” Richards said.
The gym will be open Monday to Saturday each week.
