Judge Cogswell said Glare, 30, had committed serious offences, and many of them.
The comments were made after solicitor Dave Barron said people using ice needed more and more of it and commited offences to support their habits.
“Property crime looms large in drug offences,” Mr Barron said.
“They are very serious offences. There is no getting away from that.”
Glare had previously pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court in August to a series of aggravated break and enter in company charges involving sporting clubs and was committed for sentencing in the District Court.
Those offences involved the Oaklands RSL Bowling Club, Corowa Golf Club, Tocumwal Golf Club, the Corowa RSL Club and the Rennie Football Club.
More than $63,000 compensation is being sought for damage to poker machines and money stolen from the Corowa Golf Club on October 12 last year.
An accomplice of Glare forced a roller door to the club’s outdoor poker machine area.
Six machines were jemmied open and $2620 in coins stolen, but damage to the machines was worth more than $60,000.
The break-in was discovered about 7am and a jemmy bar was found at the scene.
Forensic police seized the bar and a DNA profile matched Glare.
Glare went to the Toc-umwal Golf Club on Oct-ober 18 with another man and they managed to force entry into a false ceiling.
But his accomplice fell through the ceiling and they hastily fled the club.
The following night the pair returned with another Corowa man, Simon Garsed, but police were waiting for them.
Glare was involved in two break-ins at the Oaklands RSL Bowling Club in March, but the only thing taken from the club was a five-litre tub of ice-cream.
Alcohol and a heart defibrillator were stolen from the Rennie Football Club.
The Corowa RSL Club was locked on March 9 and some time between 4.20am and 5am the next morning an attempt was made to enter a small shed, while a roller door was forced open.
The door was raised, activating a silent internal alarm inside the club.
