The Australian Property Institute Albury-Wodonga group has donated a cheque from its annual seminar.
The July seminar raised the money through registrations of 100 valuers on the day.
Simon Fisher, a group member, said his late sister was a Carevan volunteer and it was a way of carrying on her good work.
“It’s an excellent charity that supports poverty,” he said.
“They serve 450 meals a week to those in need.”
Carevan chief executive Di Mant welcomed the donation — “It’s very generous,” she said.
“We are the only charity that goes around five nights a week, on both sides of the Border, and feeds people.
“This donation will help keep up our work in the future.”
