A FINLEY licensee who allowed a naked romp by a woman and group sexual activities in his hotel earlier this year has been forced to employ a manager and security staff to meet conditions imposed by licensing authorities.

Solicitor Mark Cronin outlined in Albury Local Court yesterday what had taken place since Allan Francis Ogilvie had allowed the antics in his pub in April.
Ogilvie, 65, of Murray Street, appeared before magistrate Tony Murray for sentencing after pleading guilty in September to seven charges including supplying alcohol to an intoxicated person, permitting indecency on the premises and allowing an intoxicated person to remain on the premises.
Mr Murray ordered a pre-sentence report on September 23 and described what was outlined in police documents as “disgusting behaviour”.
Mr Cronin said conditions had been imposed on the Albion Hotel licence with a manager supervising Ogilvie.
He said the commercial viability of the hotel was marginal and Ogilvie now received a pension.
“These are very strong steps that have been taken,” Mr Cronin said.
He said Ogilvie had been a farmer in the Finley and Blighty region before purchasing the hotel leasehold more than seven years ago.
Mr Cronin said Ogilvie had committed no previous criminal offences, has strong community involvement and has been a Finley Football Club trainer for the past 30 years.
Mr Murray put Ogilvie on bonds for three offences and fined him a total of $1400 for the other matters, taking into consideration his limited income.
The court had previously been told a woman had been involved in a naked romp, having her breasts fondled and taking part in group sexual activities in the early hours of April 12.
It happened in the smoking area at the hotel and Ogilvie had witnessed some of what had taken place.
He was there when two men and the woman, 30, had intercourse and no attempt was made by him to stop them.
Most of the activity involving the woman had been captured on closed circuit footage, which was later obtained by detectives from Deniliquin after a complaint had been made about what took place.
Police were notified 16 days after it happened.
The woman, after being involved in intercourse with the two men, had walked into the bar area naked.
The footage showed she was intoxicated, was swaying from side to side and was unsteady on her feet, falling into the walls.
