East Albury pair James McNeil and Cameron White, North Albury’s Ash Borella, Albury’s Grant Wells and Lavington captain Sam Harris will be in the line-up to come up against Illawarra, Southern Zone and Western Zone.
McNeil has been named vice-captain to South Wagga’s Joel Robinson.
“We have a good core of seven or eight players who have been playing together for a few years, which helps, and then we have some good players like ‘Wellsy’ (Grant Wells) and Kurt (Robertson) who have come into the side as well,” Robinson said.
“We’re really happy with the side.
“It’s always a tight championship though, with no easy games.
“Hopefully we can put it all together and play well.”
McNeil, Wells and Harris have made centuries in CAW ranks this season while White leads the wicket-taking aggregate with 16 scalps.
The championships are the first step in selecting the NSW Country side to play in the Australian Country Championships in Bendigo from January 5 to 12.
