Jake Creamer, 23, is the latest winner in the Commonwealth Bank’s individual digital journeys competition.
Individuals, community organisations and small businesses are being asked to describe how technology makes a difference in their life.
Mr Creamer, a fitter and turner, can’t imagine being without digital technology these days.
“It’s helped with everything from managing my bank accounts, to shopping and my social life,” he said.
“It has also become an invaluable tool for work as I can take photos of ID plates.”
Individuals who share their story can win an iPad mini and Telstra vouchers every fortnight, while prizes are up for grabs for community groups and businesses.
Two other winners in the individual category have already been presented with their prize.
Border residents can vote online at commbank.com.au/canconnect for the community organisation they wish to win a digital package, while small businesses will be judged by a panel of community leaders.
Wodonga branch manager Paul Barton said the competition was part of its CAN Connect initiative, which aims to assist the community to become digitally connected.
Mr Barton said Commonwealth Bank and Telstra were offering a series of free forums at the Wodonga and Albury libraries on how to use email and purchase products and services online.
Both competitions close at the end of this month.
