THE Rutherglen Football Club’s Past Players will hold a luncheon for stalwarts John Tafft and Ken Chandler at Barkly Park tomorrow. With the favourite sons battling illness, spokesman Wayne Milthorpe said yesterday the Cats wanted to celebrate the impact they had on the community. Tafft is a former president of Rutherglen and played more than 200 matches while Chandler lined up in more than 400 games for the club. “They have done so much for the community,” Milthorpe said. “We welcome anyone to come along and say hello.” The luncheon is at 11am.
