Today is the last of three days of angling on Rocky Valley Dam, as well as the Kiewa, Mitta and Bundarra rivers.
Organiser Michael Nolan said there was no chance of tall fishing tales in the competition.
“We have controllers with the competitors and they verify the catch,” he said.
“The winner is based on the number of fish caught and the longer it is the more points you get.
“It’s mainly trout, brown and rainbow, but there are Chinook salmon in the dam and they count as well.
“We’re based at Falls Creek because it is just a beautiful part of the world, close to some great rivers.”
