Justin Costello, from selling agents Costello Rural, said the sale, which featured angus, Hereford, Murray grey, simmental, charolais, Friesian and other breeds, started at 1pm.
“All cattle offered will be in excellent condition and have been secured from Towong, Khancoban, Corryong, Towong Upper, Tintaldra, Colac Colac, Nariel, Cudgewa, Walwa, Thologolong, Berringama, Biggara and Nimitibel,” Mr Costello said.
“The sale has been going for over 45 years and is the only one to be held in Corryong each year.
“It does have a certain amount of high country romance about it and is always strongly attended.
“In fact we have someone coming from Tasmania.”
