The Pigeons’ netball identity replaces Darren Yates, who was jointly holding down a position on the Murray United soccer club board and the O and M board before vacating his position at this week’s annual meeting.
Jaques was the sole nomination to replace Yates, who held the finance portfolio.

She will be the second female on the O and M board with Kim Odewahan the director in charge of netball.
Jaques was nominated by her home club, Yarrawonga, with her predecessor, Yates, being from Wodonga.
Existing board members, vice-chairman David Sinclair, Ken Jasper and Jason McPhail were all re-elected for two-year terms.
The additional board member from outside Albury-Wodonga could tighten the numbers on big decisions including the venue for the grand final which has been played at Lavington Oval since 1995.
Wangaratta has made repeated unsuccessful bids in recent seasons to play the grand final at the Norm Minns Oval.
Graeme Patterson, who wasn’t up for re-election, remains chairman of the O and M.
The O and M announced a profit of $47,377 this season which was slightly up on the $42,049 from last year.
Life memberships will be presented to Sinclair and Odewahn, who are long-serving board members, Wodonga netballer Liona Edwards and Wodonga Raiders netball official Sue Truin.
