Strong performances from juniors Megan Vogel and Paige Cooper ensured the shield would return to the Border, after being in the hands of powerhouse club Essendon for the past two years.
Mother and daughter combination Julie and Amy Underwood were superb, as well as evergreen Corowa club president Robert Eyres.
The regatta also played host to the Victorian Sprint Championships, with Rutherglen pair Jarrad Carran and Danyon Williams among the results.
Williams and Carram took out the male open coxless pairs, while Nagambie’s Michael McNamara took out the men’s open single scull.
The men’s open double scull was another all-Rutherglen affair, with Williams and Will Day pipping Carran and sibling Tim Day for line honours.
A composite squad from Nagambie and Rutherglen took out the men’s open quad scull, capping off a successful weekend, according to Murray Rowing Association and Rutherglen club president Paul Somerville.
“It’s been an absolutely successful regatta, despite some weather issues on Saturday.” Somerville said.
