Pat Rafter cannot be sure what impact a greater non-tennis education would have had on the colourful life and times of Bernard Tomic but Tennis Australia's new director of performance would like to think there is a better, smarter, way. Rafter cannot force young tennis players to stay at school but he can, and will, deny them funding if they do not.
